What the trash pickup day finder does
A pickup-day lookup should match a complete service address to the public agency or contracted provider responsible for that address. That matters because a postal city, county boundary, HOA, and collection provider do not always line up in an obvious way.
The current provider matches the address against the City of Charleston public GIS, confirms that the point intersects a City garbage route, then checks City trash and yard-waste data plus Charleston County recycling route data. It does not infer a schedule from the postal city.
How to use the finder
Enter the street address where carts are collected, not a billing address or property-management office. Include the city, state, and ZIP so the official address and service boundaries can be checked correctly.
When a result is available, confirm the named municipality and the last verified date before relying on it. Holiday notices and weather disruptions can temporarily override a normal schedule, so current official alerts still take priority.
Municipal schedule data status
Production searches currently cover addresses that match the official City of Charleston address and garbage-route layers. The result also checks the City trash and yard-waste layer and Charleston County’s official curbside recycling layer. Local development keeps an unmistakably labeled sample for interface testing.
If the address is not in the connected City service area or an official source does not respond, the finder returns an unavailable state and links to the source agencies. It never substitutes a nearby route or guessed collection day.
